The 9th Annual Congress of the Polish Society of Vascular Surgery was an excellent opportunity to present the visualization solution provided by ALVO Integra and Barco technology to our partner GE Healthcare team in Poland. The presented solution provides efficient use of GE Healthcare imaging systems dedicated to angiography, interventional radiology, hemodynamics and hybrid rooms.
ALVO Integra operates with the following units provided by GE Healthcare:
- Image Guided System (Cardiovascular Imaging System)
- Advantage Workstation (AW) (a multi-modality medical image review, comparison, and processing workstation)
- Ensite or Carto (magnetic electroanatomic mapping system)
- Mac-Lab (Hemodynamic Recording System)
The ALVO Integra management system, based on BARCO's state-of-the-art 4K surgical display, is a comprehensive solution that provides management of computer stations in the control room both on the control and video side. Barco 4K 58-inch surgical display was used in the interventional room and a new type of wide format 32-inch monitors in the control room. Such configuration allows displaying medical video signals from multiple sources in various configurations.
The system can be managed both inside and outside the interventional area via the ALVO touch interface, displayed on a medical tablet MUIP-2112 provided by BARCO. The ALVO Integra solution relies on fiber optic switch as a backbone providing a lack of compression, no latency, high-resolution images. Additionally, the system is fully scalable. Besides full video support, the solution also supports full audio communication and remote control of workstations via KVM feature (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) supported by Nexxis technology and provided by ALVO Integra.
